Jamiah was diagnosed with liver cancer in September of 2007. She underwent many chemotherapy treatments and surgery during her year and a half of treatment. Jamiah and her brother joined Kids Kicking Cancer in December 2007. She instantly became an eloquent speaker for the program. Jamiah has a gift of verbalizing how she feels and how the program has helped her. She recently described it as a “hug” from her Kids Kicking Cancer community of fellow students and teachers.
Jamiah uses her power breathing to help calm herself when she is afraid, and when she has to undergo painful procedures. Jamiah is also a natural at teaching others to breathe in the light and blow out the darkness. Jamiah has taught employees and executives from Ford Motor Company, PVS Chemical and Blue Cross Blue Shield to name a few!
