Chris Keogh

Board Member

Chris is Midwest region head of Private Wealth Management (PWM) in Chicago. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as an equity sales trader in Chicago and was named managing director in 2004 and partner in 2010.

Prior to assuming his current role, Chris was global chief operating officer of the Third Party Distribution business in Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) in New York, and before that, he was global head of the Markets Solutions Group within PWM.

Previously, he was also head of GSAM for North Asia, where he was co-president of GSAM Japan and responsible for the asset management business in mainland China and Korea.

Before that, he was senior advisor to the chairman of Beijing Gao Hua Securities Company Limited, where he was responsible for the development of the firm’s securities and asset management businesses within mainland China. Before moving to Asia, he served as head of the European Global Institutional and European Merchandising teams in London.

Prior to joining the firm, Chris worked at Merrill Lynch in Equity Derivatives for five years.

Chris serves on the Board of Directors for A Better Chicago, The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. He is also a member of the following Investment Committees: Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Cranbrook Educational Community.

Chris earned a BA in General Studies from the University of Michigan in 1994 and an MBA in Finance and International Business from The University of Chicago in 1998.
