Cindy Cohen, MS, CCLS

Global Program Director

Cindy Cohen has been with the organization since 2004. She holds a Masters Degree in Child Life and Family Centered Care from Wheelock College in Boston, a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management/Leadership from Lawrence Tech University, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from University of Michigan.
Cindy directed a hospital Child Life program for 18 years, and has worked in pediatric health care for over 30 years, helping children and families understand/cope with illness, hospitalization and loss. Her training focused on the integration of multiple techniques to lower the pain of hospitalized children.

Cindy is also the co-author of three books to help children cope with parental illness or death–Daddy’s Promise, My Daddy’s Cancer & My Mommy’s Cancer.
