Jamila Carrington Smith

Jamila brings more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and insights, business and communications strategy, and program design to Kids Kicking Cancer.

Prior to working with Kids Kicking Cancer, Jamila worked in strategic leadership roles as an advertising executive for global brands. In that capacity, she originated and managed multi-organization teams through strategic initiatives, discovered new ways of doing business and ushered in new and creative ways to engage and inspire buyers.

Jamila received a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from Princeton University. She remains active with the university, serving as the Michigan chairperson for the Alumni Schools Committee. Jamila’s volunteer work includes work with local women’s collective giving organizations.

Jamila lives in Michigan with her husband and two sons.
